The Waxwing range explodes into a thunderous volcano, choking The Known World with ash and darkness

It began with a rumble that was felt throughout The Known Lands and by the end of that day the sun would not be seen in its full glory again. The great central mount, the Waxwing, exploded, sending fire and flame as far as the Midlands, and spewing forth ash and smoke to cover The Known Lands in a cloak of choking shadow.
