Vildu's Eye

Vildu’s Eye, or more commonly “The Eye” or “The Watcher,” is a brown dwarf that orbits Zizati's Eye and is the orbital parent of the two Human home-worlds, Eclypsis and Ephus, as well as three other major satellites. The Eye is worshipped as the physical form of the deity Vildu, the Eclyptic god of Humanity. The designation of the world being an eye is credited to the ancient Retinal Storm that broke up its clouds for millennia. A year after the first colony on Panus was established the storm finally subsided. This event caused immense religious upheaval and controversy especially concerning space travel. Many groups insisted that Vildu did not appreciate Humans being on his other moons and so closed his eye as a sign he was no longer protecting them. Other groups argued that the Vildu’s opinion was that Humanity was capable of protecting themselves now and thus no longer needed His watch.
