My preferred way of DM'ing is to take my players on a journey through my imagination. I'm open to most ideas from the mundane to the obscure but if I decline an idea it's either because it goes against my vision or it's to close to something in my vision which would lead to confusion or the wrong association.
It's OK to be late or skip a session as long as I'm told at least 15 minutes prior to the planned session.
I'm not enforcing a hard limit on aggressive actions between player characters but anyone engaging in such actions will smile and say thank you when I deal out some appropriate balance to that action. That could be anything from loss of equipment/money to divine smiting to a one-on-one session to let you know for how long you will be gone from the campaign.
I a strong believer in second chances, I believe in third chances, I can be persuaded to give a fourth chance. There's no such thing as a fifth chance.
I respond poorly to attempts of coercion or threats.
