Basic Character Restrictions
I am open to most published material and if you've found a homebrew option you feel strongly about, I can be persuaded. I'll break down the limitations I have for each section of character creation here.
And no children PCs. You have to be over 18. Just. Too many weird risks. Just no.
Races originally from the inner and outer planes are not playable. This includes aarakocra, elementals, angels, etc. Due to the Sealing, the Material has been cut off from those planes for a thousand years, so it's highly unlikely they would be found here. You would need to have a very particular and special set of circumstances to play one.
Dragonborn are also exceedingly rare and will have some special rules in the Sealed Lands due to the hunting of and extreme prejudice against dragons. You can play a dragonborn, but we will need to talk extensively about it. I don't mean this as discouragement, just know that your character will have some special considerations to work around.
All classes are open, just let me know if you want to use something beyond the PHB. Classes that have patrons/deities will be subject to the deity limitations inherent in being cut off from Celestia and the Nine Hells, but I will re-flavor any class abilities that may be interrupted by that. There is one class I categorically refuse to have at my table: base Player's Handbook ranger. Thou must use Ranger Revised. I have the doc and will personally walk you through it if you want! I refuse to let someone suffer under the useless mess the PHB has. We are here to have fun, not be sad because Wizards made a massive slip-up. Rangers are freaking cool and they deserve the respect of Ranger Revised!

Backgrounds:
No restrictions.Spells:
The only spell complications come in with spells that actively utilize access to the inner and outer planes, but since those are almost all higher level, we don't need to worry about them right now. (I hope. Shout at me if I've forgotten something.)Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
