Letter You've Had Since Birth

Greetings Adventurer,

You have been chosen by the primal god of the endless sea, the one who created this world and all that is in it. He has given you your battle abilities under the promise of helping him bring order to his world.
This world is not as it seems. There are many other gods in this world, all of whom broke away from their original worlds and banded together to create the Treaty of Neutrality. This treaty compelled all the gods to remain neutral and create their own domains in the world using the power of the endless sea. However, the gods did not know that the sea was a living god. They just fooleshly thought it was ancient magic.

Everything was good with the treaty until recently, when there was an argument and split among the gods. This caused lots of turmoil to their domains, which are inhabited by mortals. To try to usurp the other gods and become the supreme, they are rallying their worshipers (the cultists) to destroy the other gods.

The god of the endless sea (ME) is concerned about the future of MY world. I know that if the gods continue to fight, it will only lead to more destruction and chaos. I believe that the only way to end this conflict is to unite the gods under MY rule.

However, the god of the endless sea is a benevolent god. I do not want to force the other gods to do anything against their will. I would rather persuade them to join me through diplomacy. That is where you come in. The god of the endless sea has chosen YOU to be my emissary. I want you to travel to the domains of the other gods and try to convince them to join me.

You will face many challenges on your journey. The other gods will not be easy to persuade. They may even try to kill you. But if you are successful, you will save the world from destruction.

The cultists are a growing threat. They are gathering in secret, plotting to overthrow the gods and bring about the end of the world. Their activities are shrouded in mystery, but we know that they are up to no good.

I, the god of the endless sea, has only recently awakened. I am still learning about the world and the dangers that it faces. It is up to you to discover what the cultists are planning and to stop them before it is too late.

If the adventurers do not succeed, I, the god of the endless sea, will be forced to bring forth the great flood and completely remake the world, killing everything and everyone in the process.

Will you help ME, the god of the endless sea, bring order to my world? The choice is yours mortal (except not really because if you deny me I just sap all your power and try again with different more amicable mortals ;) ).
