Luck of Twins

It's a well known superstition that twins are lucky. This isn't particularly uncommon from the rest of Faerun, but in the Scepter, it's a particularly strong belief. Twins, especially those born in the valley, are venerated by their parents, and usually prophesied to perform great feats, or be strong leaders.
The belief is also widely reflected in the ruling policies of the Emerald Forces, where many positions of authority act as a duel-primacy, with two, equally powerful representatives.

History

The history is traced directly to the Green Twins and the influence of their rule, though of course, historically twins have been considered a unique occurrence, one touched by magic and fate.
