the amulet of darkness

the amulet of darkness is a amulet that was created by Frederick the mad after he created his elven empire that was overthrown and replace by the elven council. the amulet has a ruby and if you look close enough you see a small wisps of darkness swirling around in the gem. the gem is inset in a circle iron frame with chain links to wear on you neck as a necklace and the iron chains are very could to the touch. this amulet made by Frederick helped increase his power and some say even made him more mad. many if not elves say that it is a terrible artifact and we should destroy it but they haven't been able to destroy the amulet for many years. so it is now kept under lock and key so no one can get it. many say that the ruby contains the insane spirit of the one that possessed Frederick. people now say that they probably shouldn't break it because t might have a insane spirit inside and they don't want to break that free. the amulet gives of a dread aura and makes you feel sort of sick to the presence of the amulet. the amulet is very heavy for its size people believe because it has so much condensed magic stored in it. before it was infused with magic it just was made of iron and a ruby. Frederick the mad made it with his own hands and used magic and smiths tools. he also used the amulet to control and order his shadow army it was originally his own strength but he then made the amulet to focus his power to more easily control his army. the great large red insane spirit also could have been the one to control his shadow army.
