dwarven masons

dwarven masons are highly respected individuals in the community of dwarves because they help build homes. a dwarven mason builds many things other than houses they build paths arches and a lot of structures. a mason uses bricks and rock and mortar to build buildings. a dwarven mason also use stone carving to carve intricate details and shape rocks and bricks to be useable. A dwarven mason must be strong to lift and move rocks and other heavy things but they also have to be smart because they also draft the plans for the buildings like an engineer. this trade is commonly considered a trade of leaders and kings for several reasons one is that the great leader and first fire salamander Raltor was a mason. it is also associated with leaders and kings because masons commonly make great connections and friends with many people. masons start out as an apprentice to a older experienced mason and they learn the skills they need to become a mason. masons are not common there are only a few in each town many more in the capital because of the population. when a new mason is trained there is commonly a ceremony and a large party to celebrate the new mason. a mason when he needs an apprentice will look for a apprentice and pick one. masons are paid a lot for there work. they commonly use grianite to build buildings because of how strong it is and it is quite common to find. masons use many tools they use a spade hammers of different sizes and weight and chisels. masons are also very creative they have come up with very interesting pulley systems to move rock that is to heavy to move with pure strength. there are some dangers like accidentally hitting yourself with a tool and rocks falling on you.
