The Saviors

In the beginning of time there was nothing. Only a dark Void lurking silently. Until a Big Bang erupted, and the Mother Goddess Verum Libra was born. What surrounded the Goddess was empty space and darkness. No life. No existence. Only her. Feeling the devouring grasp of the Void she created a series of stars, planets, and moons. She made hundreds of thousands of worlds and systems spanning galaxies. She created the Universe and all that was within it. Verum Libra decided that on these planets, there should be living things. Verum Libra gave Corrib its Corribins, Nashar its finmen, and so many other planets, until she gave Earth its humans. However, such a gift of life required a balance, there for, a deal with the Void had to be made. That deal gave birth to the Grim Reaper. Along with life and death, Verum Libra knew that people needed to be guided by a conscience. Living things needed something to follow and lead them to whatever virtue they seeked. Also, she was very lonely ruling the cosmos by herself. So, Verum Libra soon became the mother of two gods. Verum Bonum, the God of all that is good and pure in the universe, and Verum Malum, the God of all that was evil and corrupted. The two Gods were easy to distribute from each other. Verum Bonum had hair as white as snow, while Verum Malum had hair as black as the darkened skies. Verum Libra raised her sons equally, showing them the same love she had shown to all her creations and more. However, all was not well with her sons. The two boys were at odds with each other the moment they both became men, and through their rage for each other they started The Great Eon War. A war so devastating, it almost ended all life in the universe. Good and Evil would battle each other for centuries. Even when victory was a mere dream, both sides kept on fighting. Until the Mother Goddess stepped in and bid her sons make peace to keep the balance of the Universe. Both Verum Bonum and Verum Malum were very reluctant to answer the words of their mother, however Verum Libra threatened the men that if either god dared to spill the blood of the other, both Gods would be imprisoned within their own realms. Those words forced the gods to stand down. Verum Bonum and Verum Malum both made peace, and the war was over. But all was not well with the God of evil, Verum Malum. Verum Malum was enraged by his mother and brother holding him back from his glory and crusades. He was always tired of Verum Bonum taking victory while he bled in defeat, feeling like his mother abandoned him. Verum Malum planned for his vengeance. With a heavy heart, Verum Malum broke into his mother’s chambers, unsheathed his sword. Verum Libra tried to fight off Verum Malum, but the Dark God’s determination could not be stopped. Not even by the universe herself. As Verum Libra finally stopped fighting, it is said that Verum Malum wept for his mother after her blood was stained on his sword. However, victory would not come for Verum Malum. No, Verum Bonum and Verum Malum were sealed off in their realms. But, Verum Valum was able to find a flaw in Verum Libra’s design, and he is trying to break free. Verum Libra feared for many things in the event of her death. She knew if Verum Malum broke free, he would take over the entire Universe, and if Verum Bonum also broke free, the two gods would destroy the entire universe. So, to prevent this, she shattered pieces of her across the galaxy, eventually all the pieces made their way to the Goddess' prize planet, Earth. Humans of the planet would find pieces of her soul and become Verum Libra’s champions. The Saviors.
