Amonki

Geography

An island in the South of the Second Circle, somewhat in the middle of its territory. It is a large, flat island which is therefore perfect for farming, as it also has several fresh water sources that make the land perfect for growing crops. The only town is a small one on the West side of the island, overlooking a rather nice looking reef which is an excellent fishing spot.

History

Amonki joined the Congregation rather late, believing that it was better off remaining independent and not being required to share its large amounts of food with others. 
This was deemed as unacceptable by those who ruled the Congregation at the time, and so mercenaries were hired to sneak onto the island and burn most of its crops and slaughter most of its animals as a mixture of a warning and a move to make Amonki desperate enough to join the Congregation. The incident is now seen as an old shame by the current leadership.
In the present day, Amonki is one of the proudest members of the Congregation in all of the Second Circle, despite the dubious way in which it was brought in. It is respected due to being one of the highest producing islands in the archipelago, though this respect does not transfer so well to politics, where it has little sway under most leaders.
