Freeclimber's Society
"Falling's just the price you pay,
Unknown climber, etched in rock far below the city of Highport
To get to come outside and play.
It's not a real sport, it's been said,
Unless there's a chance you'll wind up dead."
Structure
The freeclimbers of Highport used to be a club but have long since given up on maintaining any kind of structure. The reason for this is twofold, on the oneside the freeclimbers spirit wants to be free and not have a "boss" lord over their favorite pasttime, and on the other because climbers take the great plunge all the time and it took alot of effort to keep electing new leadership. The freeclimbers now simply assemble to go over the edge of the city, climb down and underneath, and back up the other side.
History
People have been climbing over the cities edge for as long as it has been afloat. The climbers are usually people who feel entrapped by the confines of the city, like a rat feels trapped in a cage. In time a club was formed, but it wasn't long before that fell apart. The climbers dangerous hobby has sparked a lively gambling community among the spectators.
