Personal history

 From a young age, he took on the role of care for his younger sister, since her parents didn't think she would make it and always managed to get pulled into whatever idea's she could come up with though enjoyed them nonetheless. 
 Though due to how the village was run and with his high energy he decided to do twice his share of work to make up for what his sister couldn't do and so she could still be taken care of. He was a hunter/guard at times when needed though despite his best efforts was never quite good with a blade and was reckless at times also. 
Even if his best efforts weren't good enough he give it all he had still even if he could only get the most minimal results from it, knowing he was doing it for a good reason. Occasionally he would bring a book, a weird thing he found, or stories back to her, and on one such occasion he told her about a dream he had, that seemed to pique her interest.  She then came up with an idea and he agreed to help her, as he thought he might be able to get something out of it as well. 
 When they were able to get away and not be looked for a while, he took her to some nearby mountains that were taboo for them cause of old legends. When they eventually found what they were looking for. While his sister learned, he learned something different alongside her. As they spent a quarter of the Hawk moon cycle there, with her learning more than he did, they made a promise to not mention what they did here when they get back. 
 Afterwards they head back, and now he managed to do the work he couldn't manage easily before much easier now that lighting coursed through him. And managed to spend the next twelve hawk moon cycles, before his younger sister was found out about what she did and getting exiled for it. Upon this, he tried to make a case that it was his idea and everything but they wouldn't hear it. So instead he told them he's going into exile with her then.
 For once he didn't wait for what they had to say and just took his sister so they could go. Making some promises to her as they left and started to wander to their newfound unknown destination.
