Crescentia Fitzroyal of Blackshire

Crescentia Fitzroyal of Blackshire (a.k.a. The Bastard Princess of Asteralia)

Breaker of hearts, slayer of vampires, bane of demons, Crescentia Fitzroyal is a traveling bard who brings swift destruction to the creatures of the night with her silver rapier and silver-stringed violin.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Thin and lithe, waltzing and fencing equally come naturally to her. She's quite tall and elegant in her movements. She has long, midnight black hair that usually is kept in a low braid (or scandalously loose).

Personal history

Born the illegitimate child of the King of Asteralia and a lady-in-waiting, scandal and frustrated affection have followed Crescentia wherever she goes. Etiquette lessons barely landed, but she had a natural talent for dancing, which was finely honed into masterful swordsmanship. She also was naturally drawn to the violin. She grew up into a force of chaos, but her mother and several other young courtiers adored her cheerful and carefree demeanor, including her first love, young Lord Aymer, one of the nobles residing in Blackshire Palace.
After many years of being a headache for the royal household, she was heavily encouraged to take on the life of an adventurer. Understanding that she was being exiled from her childhood home, and cut off from her mother and first love, she turned to the road, with only her rapier and violin as company. A traveling carnival took her in, teaching her a sacred bardic rite of Redeemer Queen Nocticula, Silver Song. With silver blade and silver music, no creature of evil could stand against her. As she honed her Silver Song, she met her next love, Soliana, a dancer for the carnival. Tragically, the carnival suffered a severe thunderstorm, and a lightning strike caused a raging fire. Crescentia had been gathering water, and returned to discover her found home ablaze. Alone again, she turned her Silver Song towards the road, leaving the kingdom of Asteralia to slay monsters in the wilds to the east.
She traveled to Aznawar, a mysterious principality shrouded in mystery and dark magic. With her Silver Song mastered, she hoped to be a hero and bring hope to the dark lands. She was taken in by an aloof but hospitable Duchess Endzela, who lived in a manor along the dreary moors. The two grew close, and Crescentia turned her full devotion to protecting Endzela's domain from a cabal of vampires that were attacking its citizens. Her chaotic and foreign charms made her a star of Aznawari court life, and she seemed to have finally found a permanent home. This was once more not to be, for when the two sweethearts grew their closest, Endzela revealed herself to be the Queen of Vampires, causing many of the terrors that plagued her land. Betrayed, Crescentia managed to slay her third love before being forcefully turned, and fleed into the night.

And now, she has arrived in the Plane of Lost Souls, though she was pretty confident of her path before arriving here...

Slayer of evil, wooer of nobles, heartache of Blackshire.
