Wizards

Wizards are a queer bunch, often respected, but often feared.   Wizards are known for their ability to bend the Winds of Magic to their will, and use it to cast magical spells. They gained this ability from doing a lot of reading and a lot of research. It is pretty much the ultimate nerd class.   The Wizards are divided into 5 schools, each for one of the Winds of magic. Yes, this is the different from standard. These five schools are highly different from each other, which makes that if you are from one school, you can use all the spells from that school, but you have disadvantage on spells not from it, if the DM even allows you to use a spell that isn't originally from your school. But, even these schools aren't completely the end of it. Each of these schools can be divided into different parts, and these different parts are a lot like the normal schools from D&D, but not exactly the same, because there are steps you have to take before it.   Wizards are the highest affected by the 5 different winds of magic, and the bonuses and the negatives each brings. The Winds of Magic of the Sky have a lot of healing and support spells, but not a lot of damage dealing. The Winds of Magic of the Dark have a lot of powerful spells, but each spell you cast has a risk. The Winds of Magic of the Wood have a lot of natural spells, and can be extremely powerful in a forested area. The Winds of Magic of the Flame have the highest damage spells, after the Dark, and they have a lot of things with fire. The Winds of Magic of the Sea have a lot of illusion spells, and are perfect for a highly verbal campaign.   Because of the big risks with The Winds of magic of the Dark, it is pretty illegal pretty much everywhere. This means that any usage of these winds, like necromancy and overall Dark magic is not recommended, and it will probably get yourself in prison if you are discovered using it, which is why I recommend you choosing a character that uses the Winds of Magic of the Dark and you try not to get caught. Well, you could try to get caught, but that would just be stupid.

Career

Qualifications

To become a Wizard, you'd definitely need to be very smart. This can also be seen in that you use your intelligence to cast spells. Not only do you need to be smart, but you'd also need to be ready to do a lot of research and study each day to prepare all your spells, and you have to take a lot of time to prepare each play. it is a lot of work, but it is really rewarding.

Perception

Purpose

The purpose of a Wizard depends a lot on the type of wizard. Some become wizard with a cause for good, to protect people or to fight against evil. Some do it for a much more selfish cause, like being able to build your own army, or take revenge on a man, but many more do it for a cause which lies somewhere in between, like temporary helping someone, or to be able to have a life with friends who care for you.

Demand
Wizards are often in demand in smaller cities, but in the biggest of the cities, there is almost an abundance, with wizards coming from all kinds of wizard school into the cities searching for work.
