Zoramite Tribal Customs   Cultural Isolation: Zoramites often live in isolated communities. You have proficiency in the Survival skill, reflecting your ability to thrive in self-sufficient environment.   Religious Practices: The Zoramites were known for their unique and often controversial religious practices. They rejected the traditional Nephite worship and developed their own form of worship, which included praying on a high platform called the Rameumptom. They believed that only they were chosen by God and looked down upon others.   Social Structure: The Zoramites had a rigid social hierarchy. They divided themselves into classes, with the wealthy and influential at the top. This division was evident in their religious practices, where the elite had prominent positions during worship, while the poor were marginalized1.   Isolationism: The Zoramites often isolated themselves from other Nephite groups. They settled in the land of Antionum, where they could practice their beliefs without interference. This isolation sometimes led to tensions and conflicts with neighboring groups.   Economic Practices: The Zoramites placed a strong emphasis on wealth and material prosperity. They believed that their riches were a sign of divine favor. This belief influenced their social interactions and contributed to the division between the rich and the poor.   Rebellion and Conflict: The Zoramites’ distinct beliefs and practices often put them at odds with other Nephite groups. Their rejection of traditional Nephite worship and their alliance with the Lamanites led to conflicts and wars. These conflicts were driven by both religious and political motivations.   Conversion and Refuge: Despite their isolationist tendencies, some Zoramites were converted to the Nephite faith through the efforts of missionaries like Alma the Younger. These converts often faced persecution and had to seek refuge in other Nephite lands, such as Jershon.   Cultural Identity: The Zoramites maintained a strong cultural identity, rooted in their unique religious beliefs and social practices. This identity was reinforced through their rituals, teachings, and communal activities, which set them apart from other Nephite tribes.
