Homebrew combat rules

To make this world more immersive, i've added some new rules and edited others, this section will focus on combat rules.

Static initiative

instead of rolling for initiative, everyone got a static one. this one is determined by adding 10 to your dexterity and wisdom modifier. this static initiative will also determine out of combat scenarios.

Devastating crits

If you roll a crit you now deal max damage+an extra roll.

[AOE] Attacks

attacks marked with an [AOE] take a turn to charge, one your next turn this attack activates. [AOE] attacks always hit and cannot be avoided. so to avoid these attacks, step out of the [AOE] zone before the next turn!

Attrition

after 10 turns of combat everyone gains +1 to attack and damage rolls, this number increases every turn.

Potion drinking

drinking a potion is a bonus action, forcing someone else to drink is still a full action.

casting spells

you can only cast one spell in a turn.

Flanking

If you team up with an ally against an enemy in melee combat you both gain +1 to attack rolls, if you team up with 3 you gain +3 and with 4 +4.

magical burnout

Casting spells is tiresome and can have some negative effects. everytime you cast a spell you roll a burnout die. when you roll a 1, you lose that die and gain a buff or debuff according to the table below. the burnout die is a six sided die and you get 3+your spell casting modifier amount of them. if you lose all your burnout die you cannot cast spells anymore.
