The Perkons

The Perkons is a hostile and wild region to the northeast of Cambria, receiving a heavy beating from the storms of the Sundering Sea. It is full of crags and narrow valleys, sinkholes and deadfalls, glacial cliffs and desolate moorlands, giving way to the broad and perilous expanse of the Alkana desert to the west and ringed by jagged sea-cliffs on all other sides. The towering line of mountains that run down its spine and across its shoulders cover a labyrinth of caverns, home to the Urvasti Horned Drow and many far less friendly creatures, but also ancient lore and untold treasures. Powerful wild magic courses through the continent's veins, and forgotten ruins of bygone empires dot the landscape. Some five years ago, a private company of adventurers, under the aegis of Maris Tor, established the colony of Ainsport, hoping to map the wild mountains and claim its treasures for their own.
