Warren City Skutha

Ysoki slum attached to the spaceport in Skymarket. Where it all started.

W.C. Skutha is in the mid-levels of the Skymarket District, a decades-old complex of rickety causeways and platforms grafted onto the towers of the city's spaceport by the enterprising Ysoki whose families dominate its housing pods. It's a close-packed anarchy of makeshift buildings, its street-level shops offering unlicensed versions of every imaginable service and the cooked flesh of dozens of obscure Akitonian vermin species. For all its humble appearance, this is still a vigorous centre of trade and culture for people from dozens of worlds and species and almost all of the vast range of Akitonian peoples and cultures.
Running through the heart of it all is a causeway called Chennik Street. It's on one of the platforms of Chennik that the offices of Delistatious Elite Productions are to be found, occupying the former digs of a now-defunct VR studio. The surrounding buildings are a particularly bleak stretch of Skutha, mostly abandoned and scrawled with competing gang glyphs... but the lights in number 147 blaze with the determined announcement that at least someone here is still a going concern.

Government

Warren Cities are run by a combination of Ysoki and other self-help networks and loose family and clan alliances, but they're most openly ruled by street gangs in the employ of one or another of the city's major syndicates. The chief ruling gang in Warren City Skutha is Burning Bright, a subsidiary of the Kedaj Pride Front.
