The Found Palace

Everyone knows tales of the Shifting Islands but in case you are new here, let me get you up to speed.

The shifting islands

On one side of the Oryuh Archipelago are a small set of three islands that are famous mostly because they are moving. The earth under the waters move constantly in that area, probably because of its position to the very edge of the world. And the islands shift in place, but also shift in forms and landscapes. It is a slow movement but continuous. Ever changing, these islands are mostly left alone because there is no real place to settle on them. No place safe from the change. But a lot of ressources still attract explorators. Nomads mostly. And the unique ways of moving and shifting of these islands attracts scientists and researchers for brief periods of time

A lot of discoveries

Among all the people who have gone to seek one thing or another on the islands, a lot have come back with objects from another time, another era, proving there had been settlements at some point or another. But the most astonishing discoveries has been a gigantic palace that somehow one day got out of the water, still intact (or at least the building, the furnishing had been damaged beyond repair). No-one knows who have lived there and when, or who even had made it constructed in the first place. But this palace is very old and very well built to have wistood the shifting of the grounds and the water that has infiltrated it.

A lot of enigmas vs a few clues

The palace has ever since been a wonder for both scientists and nomads. A lot of settlers tried to set themselves in it, but people know the palace will eventually disappear again. Scientists have been trying since it has been found to find a way to keep it, but in vain. One can not simply move a palace. And the building will probably be lost again in a few years at the most.
