"'By Hestu's light!' Many of the things the people say in Polactious have roots that go back further then the ruination. This is a quick summery of some of those sayings." - Books of The People, Stanley Drecklet, 1678 ED Most of these idioms are spoken by humans, as that is they tend to spread every where and bring their vernacular with them, but other races can pick them up and use them in their speech.
