The Orion Expanse

The United Planets of Humanity formed in 2043, or 0 AU, after Mars was officially declared habitable for human life across almost its entire surface. Already, the nation had several assets, the most notable 2 being Armstrong Space Elevator, connected to the surface of Luna, and Mariner Spaceport, which would spearhead further attempts to colonize the solar system. From here, the discovery of the Skipdrive, more commonly referred to as the King-Uchida Drive, allowed for the spread of human civilization throughout the stars.   Spaceports were built in neighboring star systems such as Alpha Centauri, and a new era of prosperity for the human race began, the Expansion. Worlds were colonized, and the discovery of alien life caused great fervor. However, not all in the galaxy was pleasant. After centuries of expansion, it was suspected that the resource production of all the planets in the Orion Expanse was insufficient to support the continued population growth of humanity. In addition, bizarre radiation that greatly affected the memory of people on the far reaches of the Orion Expanse.   To escape calamity, both the Scarcity and the so-called Amnesiac Phenomenon, a world would be detected by a handful of satellites. The perfect world for life to evolve on, named "Fringe," was a destination for colonization. Shortly after human life could finally sustain itself on the surface, a wave of energy blasted across the galaxy, emanating from the galactic core. Outside of the 3 planets of Celadon, Terra, and Thesan, humans awoke from a great headache with no memory on worlds 100 million years in the future, their technology long since decayed.   Society was restarted, and millennia of human development was wiped away to form a clean slate. Life had evolved in more ways than one, and worlds once familiar to Earth had become far closer to alien. A new era of humanity had begun, and 1 filled with mystery as well. This world takes place in the same universe as another world, Koso. Most of the information on Koso is within that world, as it would crowd this world with an excess of articles.
