Scythaurion

The scythaurion is a ballista-like weapon designed to fire a bound sheaf of bolts through a duck-bill ended tube. History records only one instance of the scythaurion being used during a conflict, and that was at the Rain of Pikes.

Older scythaurions displayed in Labyrinth lack the duck-billed tube, having a tube slightly flared out around the entire circumference. This design seems to point at a use more suited for tunnel warfare, but if it was ever used in the tunnels of the old Tauran homeland none of those on the receiving end survived to recount their experience.
