Transmission & Vectors

The Tears are transmitted through contact with dead tissue, via bugs and larvae, and blood. once the tears start flowing, they are contaminated and can infect anyone that drinks them or makes contact through the eye.

Causes

Nurgle is ever creative, this is what his priests say. When Guldor fell, the Plague Acolytes entered Vostroya and started plaguing the nearby settlements via their divine relation with the God of Disease.

Symptoms

Symptoms start with an overflowing of tears and snot, but those slowly turn to blood and pus, eventually shutting the eyes of the victim with dead tissue and pustules. Those who aren't killed after this stage suffer hallucinations of joy and want to spread the disease to make the others partake in the gift.

Treatment

There is no physical treatment for this condition yet, only those versed in healing magic can fix those wounds.

Prognosis

The first flow of tears lasts usually 3 days, before blood comes out, it takes about a week to go blind from it, and it differs on its psychosis stage case by case. It is not fatal.

Sequela

The Tears cause in their first stags blindness and respiratory problems, and insanity in their later stages.

Cultural Reception

The Eastern Vostroyans who saw the disease quickly realized that it would be very hard to contain it, so they kill anyone who cries blood.
