The Observatory

The Eighth Kalpa is coming to a close.   The Genus Solaris is a god, aeons and daemons fighting over its soul and empires fighting over its favor and power.   The Genus Solaris is a star, with 108 planets orbiting it in oblique planes.   The Genus Solaris is the central stellar intelligence of a mystic matryoshka brain, its orbiting planets are each a jupiter brain, acting as its component servers, with currents of data the size of continents hurtling through astral space connecting them.   Welcome to the Observatory.   In a world of sex and silliness, but also of adventure, connection, and struggles. There are several major Empires ruling many of the planetos and the peoples within. These peoples range from the ancient hunters, the Humans, to the rock given life, the Stoneborn, to the wilds given spirit, the Fae, to evolution given mind, the Orcoids, to the innumerable crossbreeds, the Beast Peoples.   The world is meant to act as a fun setting for roleplaying and story-telling. It is a land of magic, psionics, and ki. Of Cyberpunk technology and cyberspace, but also monsters roaming the land and gods lording over reality. Of planets with crazy geologies and cultures, separated by the gulf of the astral sea, but populated by people with hopes and dreams.   Everything's a little wacky. Everything's a little fun. Everything's a little sexy.   Each planetos is separated by Astral Space, the paths between them dangerous, and each one a unique location, ranging from enormous mountains to islands that see-saw above and below the ocean, to plateaus that each have its own biome, each a unique place to have an adventure.   Chainmail bikinis, swords that are also guns, mystical cockrings, and cyberspace. They all exist in this world, as components of the last turner of the wheel, in their demands to the Genus Solaris.   Welcome to the Observatory, and the twilight of the eighth kalpa.
