The Oasisian Systems

On Oasisa, the world was in chaos. Entities with no rational explanation haunted the people of the world. Then a refugee camp surviving from a massacre came together under the Protector. This nation was small, and attempted to market baskets along with whatever industry could be established among the presence of eldritch forces.   Later, the nation recruited legendary warriors from around the galaxy to fight against a monster from the dark parts beyond the galaxy. The fight never took place, as the reality of the world folded and divided itself.   Eventually, Oasisa reformed as many different nations, as they competed and fought in the new home the "great fold" had given them. This reformation and the subsequent expansion has led to the entire system becoming divided among many great powers, divided between the Homeworld, the neighboring planets, the belt, and the gas giants.   Another collapse is imminent, as the eldritch anomalies that inhabited the world "pre- fold" were not destroyed, but contained by a powerful international organization on the home world of Oasisa. This organization, known as the "Jailers" by some entities, has contained and isolated the anomalies since the fold. They capture or isolate these anomalies to protect the public. The Jailers protect the world from both anomalous phenomenon and the knowledge of it. As one becomes familiar with these aberrations, sanity becomes a plausible causality. However, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence have made containment more difficult.   Now an technological apocalypse of nanotechnology and complexity have combined to create blights and other disasters. With the Jailers consumed with this apocalypse, the beings which should have been hidden and secured are breaching their containment at a terrifying rate. The Jailers must contain the fallout: the anomalies that have existed alongside Oasisians since the fold are no longer shielded from view. The Oasisan home world is about to get a rude introduction to the meaning of "anomalous entities". The home world might not survive two apocalypses.
