23rd Infected "Flageolets"
Still a work in progress, just want to publish what I've got so far
The 23rd are one of the very few regiments that had the ability to in fact name themselves when they joined the Chthonic movement, the 23rd are turn coats, an infantry regiment that survived a friendly fired chemical weapon from Noxus and appeared to gain super human abilites from what was falsely believed to be the New Black Death. With their new found powers and Noxus ordering their death, they joined the one people who didnt want them dead, at least immediatly and decided to name themselves the Flageolets simply for the fact that they had killed the people who had now given them ability for revenge. From there, the forgotten infantry enacted raids at night using their new found abilites to tear apart hundreds of infantry whilst suffering little to no loses what so ever. Due to the higher ranks of Noxus attempting to hide their chemical weapons and mistakes the 23rd are considered a destroyed unit and so they no longer have a history tying them together and quite a few dont even believe they are real.
Composition
Manpower
The Falgeolets number in the thousands with their count remaining unknown even amongst themselves. They regularly take in deserters and the people fleeing from Noxus' military and conscript them into the Flageolets. This in turn however means that the original infected numbers are slowly but surely diminishing and although the vast majority are still infected, a growing few are simple conscripts handed a rifle and brought into the 23rd.
Equipment
Due to the nature of the Infected units, the 23rd werent ever given standerised equipment, instead they were given what ever was scavanged and left over from stockpiles and battles. For this, the majority of the 23rds equipment has remained the same and new members are given scavanged metal armour from fallen Noxus, ideally ones that are left undamaged but thats a rarity on the battle field and so its expected for members to scavange replacements for their weapons and armour. For this as well, weaponry is wildly varied with some carrying cavalry swords, rifles, pistols, heavy machinguns and what ever improvised weaponry they can come up with. This is not to say some are not afforded equipment others are not.
The top soldiers of the 23rd are given access to a much wider arsenal of scavanged armour and weaponry. The unit have their own workers that craft custom made armour for the elites of the Flageolets and so many of the more skilled get improvised armour to acompany their skill. This armour is refered to as Raven armour, a combination of black metal plates and a two piece helmet that includes a short, bird like beak which gives it its name.

Weaponry
Most members typically use some variant of bolt action rifle as these are typically the most abundant and avaliable weapon. The BAR Markus 55 is considered standard for anyone who proves themselves but this is merely considered a secondary weapon as most of these infected are given custom made weaponry. Considering the enhanced strength and durability of these soldiers, many are given access to what is refered to as the Raven Arsenal.
History
The 23rd Infected originally started off as a simple Infantry unit for the Noxus loyalists, making up the bulwark of the Oracle Unit. Originally dubbed "Two Leafed Clovers" they were considered to be some of the most unlucky foot soldiers to of ever sided with Noxus as battle after battle they were wrought low and brought to the breaking point. Time and time again however they rallied and continued their fight against the Chthonic Movement. They never earned any praise or awards and were a rather ambigious division that were considered to be one of the many faceless heros of the war. This was until a severe case of friendly fire saw a biological weapon fired on their position. With little care for them, Noxus had unleashed a concentrated dosage of the what they thought was the New Black Death and killed almost the entirety of the attacking force and infected the surviving members of the 23rd with it. Upon them attempting to return to the frontlines they were promptly met with death squads that began to hunt them through the forests as they tried to escape and upon arriving to Cthohnic lines, promptly surrendered themselves. Betrayed and hurt they spent months in quaratine, being studied and waiting to die but their times seemingly did not come. Months and months passed and eventually the survivors made a choice. They wanted to join Cthohnia and throw themselves at Noxus, sacrificing themselves for a cause they dont believe in but simply to kill. Once they became the Flageolets, they began kamakazie like attacks on Noxus, raiding bases in the middle of the night and leaving behind bloody traces. Most horrific though is they appeared superhuman. They were resistant to bullets, can slowly regenerate from injuries and fed off of human flesh, unknowingly contracting a completely different strain of the Darwin Virus. They quickly became a boogyman to Noxus, nicknamed "The Revenants" and they solidifed themselves in legend.
