The North and the Stones

This campaign is set on an alternate Earth which for convenience will be called Terra here. It is set in what we would call the British Isles (known here as Albion) during the last years of the Roman Empire (simply called the Empire here). Let's call it around the end of the 4th Century and the beginning of the 5th Century.   At this time the Empire is in great disarray. Massive barbarian invasions combined with intercene warfare have left the empire in ruins. Nearly every Dux, Comes, and Tribune with any following have declared himself (and in a few cases, herself!) Imperator Romanorum (Emperor of the Romans)! These wars have left whole provinces on their own and many, like Albion, have fallen into near complete ruin. While the lords and their armies have left to vie for the Eternal Throne, the people in the cities and provinces have been left to fend for themselves.   Previously unknown men and women now have to rise up into the vacuum of leadership to lead their people in what is now a fight for survival in a world gone mad. That survival depends on the coin, corn, and blood of their people…
