The Atlantean Armour is a deep diving suit that is a body-tight mesh of reinforced rubber and polymer fitted with scrubbers that can draw and purify oxygen from its surrounding environment, extracting oxygen from water as easily as from air. The suit’s helmet is close-fitting but offers excellent visibility, while the suit’s fabric itself can flex while still remaining supportive against pressure — depths are treated as being 1,000 feet shallower than their actual depth to determine pressure damage from deep water. The wearer is also immune to inhaled toxins and can easily breathe underwater — the suit does not allow breathing in a vacuum. The target is immune to natural sources of cold damage or cold-based effects that may cause exhaustion (only underwater effects).   A diving suit’s hands and feet can activate webbing, long fins, and flippers, which the wearer can extend (and deactivate) as a bonus action. While in this mode, the wearer of the suit gains a swim speed of 20 feet and a +8 bonus on Athletic check to swim.   Jetstream. The propulsion device is operated by voice command. This consists of a gas jet that will propel the wearer underwater at a speed of 60 feet for 1 minute. This effect triggerers a depletion check each time it is but otherwise is not limited. It is possible to deplete the jetstream trait but still have a functioning set of armor otherwise.   Limitations and Benefits. The suit does not cancel the inherent advantage of aquatic creatures over land creatures without extensive training with Atlantean armor. It is not the equivalent of freedom of movement except where noted specifically. However, as a purely technological item, it is immune to the effects of dispel magic. Each time the suite takes damage from a critical hit or the owner fails a saving throw, make a depletion check. This reflects the armor becoming too damaged to be usable, but is repairable.
