Tevhetra

The largest known landmass in the darkness and the most populated. Its proximity to several banshee routes gives it a somewhat stable climate and weather patterns, just warm enough to keep most freshwater from completely freezing over, and the earth provides mineral resources, most importantly the growth of energy crystal. Much of it is still not great for habitation, and those that do live here have put a lot of time and resources into adapting and shaping the land around them.

The Heart of Tevhetra

The massive Iperal Basin takes up the center of the continent. Most rivers connect to it, so it serves as a central nexus of travel for Tevhetra. On its floor rests the underwater city of Peral.

The Lost North

Much of the Lost North is desolate and unpopulated; while the nomadic trolls may venture through the rocky wastes, the presence of the Faceless makes it too dangerous for most. The exception is the Lantern Woods, the artificial forest grown by the Myulins around the Boruun River.

The Inhabited East

The small mountain range known as the Guardians provide a boundary against the Lost North to the nation of Aphelia, whose territory extends from the Guardians to the western shores of the Iperal Basin to the eastern coast and the Mahal River which divides it from Setre. A large island known as Eliza's Shield to the northeast is also considered part of their territory.
To Aphelia's southwest is the red stone deserts of Setre, framed by the Mahal River to the east and Erepar to the west. Many smaller rivers and canyons scar the landscape.
At the southmost point of the continent is the massive spire of rock overlooking the sea known as Ragda's Pinnacle, the sacred home of Ragda's Congregation.

The Enduring South

Much of the Southern Wastes live up to the names, but several settlements have survived, including Varen aboveground fortresses. The Temple of Air, around the center of the wasteland, serves as a place for meeting on neutral ground.
Amongst the stony desolation, however, lies Crystalglade, a marsh warmed by the numerous energy crystals and the largest natural forest in Tevhetra. The city of the same name built on its islands serves as the largest inland settlement of the Southern Garrok Federation. Crystalglade also connects to the Ratavan River, which reaches into the southern Avantha Kolari.

The Hungering West

The great mountain range of the Roosts forms the northwestern backbone of Tevhetra. Its highest point is Varvix Peak, which serves as the Roosts' capital.
Between the Roosts and the neutral western shores of the Iperal Basin grows the Avantha Kolari, the artificial forest preserved by the Nuanat as their hunting grounds. A few settlements survive on its edges, but the sheer danger of the woods means that only a few waystations remain within the forest. The Elgot River connects the northern forest to the Iperal Basin, where the three cities of the Lo Gir offer shelter to most beings.

Beneath the Earth

Most territory held by Nes Varenholst lies beneath the surface, including the capital city of Varenhuln. The Varen dig further into the stone in search of new resources and living space, but are always careful not too push too deep, lest they wake something they cannot defeat - or, more likely, reach the bottom of the continent and stare into the void.
Other creatures live beneath the ground as well. The SGF keep a few cave towns, many undead prefer the earth to the surface, and the moisture of Crystalglade and its tributaries also maintains the Underbog.

The Surrounding Seas

Most of Tevhetra is consistently surrounded by the Drifting Sea to the north and the Lunar Sea to the south, though in the north and northwest, the waters of the Void Sea grow even and reveal the darkness beneath. These mostly stable currents allow trade with the various oceanic peoples.
South of the continent, half above the waves and half beneath, floats the Temple of the Tides, the seat of government for the Southern Garrok Federation.
To the southeast lies the island of Nuana, heartland and capital of the Nuanat elves.
