All of the Ishkwan peoples are blessed with the gift of flight. This manifests differently by clan, but operational wings define the tribe as a whole. With their distinct gifting, the Avary are the few who have made for themselves in the hostile Amian City. Not limited to the ground they are safe from many of the major predators in the city, and their size allows them to evade those that can fly by escaping to shelter, readily available in Amian City. Amian City being the Centre of the land and a major centre of resource, the Avary have become a significant trading folk and business owners.
Much like other flying creatures, The Avary have an affinity for shiny objects. It is often held that their greed for such objects are what have driven the Avary to business and trade, however it is just as often denied by the Avary themselves
