Cedric (a.k.a. The Mage Killer)
Although Cedric's reputation comes from mastering the takedown of spellcasters, he considers himself a bounty hunter first, and excels at it.
The target that nearly cost him his career was
Skyla Mitski. Skyla had successfully impersonated law enforcement and multiple public officials which put a very appealing bounty on her head. Cedric responded with calculated precision, but Skyla managed to outwit the hunter repeatedly--always seemingly one step ahead of his ploys and traps. Defeated and embarrassed by her on repeated occasions, Cedric's focus turned his hunt for her into an obsession.
Cedric was finally successful in his hunt through unreasonably high costs and self sacrifice, or so thought. His final attempt to capture Skyla was cut short by another hunter,
Amber, who managed to capture Skyla on the first go. Not only had Skyla evaded Cedric again, but the window of time for legal revenge for the grievances she had done to him was now closed.
