Tiefling
'The Unspoken For' or 'The Remnant'. Their God was somehow killed in an ancient war, and they are barred from following any other religion. Generally treated with mistrust in the Nations of the world, and tend to find themselves in lower parts of society such as the criminal underworld. Some of the more liberal Nations allow them space to live in their own communities, and very occasionally they can rise to a sort of prominence in spite of their marginalisation. All Tieflings have distinct 'animal' features, a result of their curse. These features can become exaggerated and prominent when the Tiefling wills it, showing their 'Mark'.
Mark of the Beast-Hide
Tieflings of this mark tend to have tusks, thick body hair,and a very stout build. Sometimes they can also have thick, shell or plate-like skin. When transformed they gain a covering of bristling fur or their shells grow more prominent, and their shoulder and back muscles grow larger.
Mark of the Sharp Fang
Tieflings of this mark have prominent fangs, and can have feline or canid eyes or ear shapes. Their hair can often be patterned with a mottling or stripes. When transformed their fangs grow even larger and their fingernails become claw-like, with some their skin becomes covered in a thin coating of fur that matches any pattern in their hair.
Mark of the Fleeting Stride
Tieflings of this mark tend to have a very slender build. Appearances vary more than most marks, some have feathers instead of hair, some have antlers, some have patches of shimmering scales like fish. These features all become more prominent when transformed, spreading to cover more of their skin.
Mark of the Striking Hunter
Tieflings of this mark tend to have skin colours that match the terrain they were born in, including deep browns and reds, pale whites and various shades of green. Their eyes and noses are slightly larger than human average. When transformed their skin becomes covered in natural patterns like snakeskin or mottles, and their facial features become larger and more prominent.
