The Order of the Hospital
An Order of Knights dedicated to providing comfort and care to the injured or sick, and to advance the knowledge of Medicine in the world.
They are a large Order of Paladins and other Knights who have sworn to aid those in need of their talents and knowledge regardless of their Nation. The Order is one of the more popular orders as a result, and the few times anyone might begrudge them providing aid to an enemy, they would be foolish to discount the times that the Order would come to their own aid.
In addition to their travelling bands of healers, they also have several institutes set up for permanent care, as well as training of their own methods and research into Medicinal techniques. While many of their number are proficient in healing magic, the Order's teachings urge its members to prefer using their knowledge to heal rather than relying on their magic, so that they are better prepared should they find themselves unable to use it for any reason.
The Symbol of the Order of the Hospital is a Blood Red Six-Pointed Cross on a White Field. It is typically worn on their official robes and Tabards, and they will often mark their field hospitals with large banners depicting the Symbol.
