Guild Practices
The Guild of the Ribbonmakers offer a simple trade of pleasure for Coin. They ensure to employ a variety of talented and vetted workers in every Guild House, and they guarantee the safety and health of their clients and employees. There is a strong emphasis on Consent, and the failure of a client to respect that line will result in censure.
Standard Rules of the Guild
All services and payment are to be negotiated and agreed upon by both Parties upfront. Any deviations from this by either party will result in Censure
No House of Pleasure may operate in a City with an existing Guild House of the Ribbonmakers without being a member. Any non-member House must apply for membership immediately and cease operation until membership is validated. Failure to operate under these conditions will result in a legal proceeding with the standard laws of the local government. If this does not resolve the issue, then the matter will be handed to the Order of the Ribbon to resolve.
An employee of the Guild is subject to its rules whether operating in a Guild House or at any other location.
An employee of the Guild is considered under the protection of the Guild and any harm or attack will be treated as an attack on the Guild itself and will be handled by the Order of the Ribbon.
The Guild of Ribbonmakers and The Order of the Ribbon reserve the right to enact punishment on anyone breaking these rules in accordance with the approved Guild Censures.

History
Dheraene Avan was a native Diewolscan who had worked her way up to owning her own Brothel in Bordenn. After receiving an incredibly generous donation from an unnamed Adventurer, Dheraene immediately set about establishing a significant Political presence, with the goal of establishing a Guild to govern the practices of owning and operating a house of pleasure in the Capital. She was met with opposition from the traditionalists who advised the Royal Family, as well as the uncompromising elements of the underworld who preferred their exploitative ways of dealing in vice. She fended off numerous assassination attempts and intimidatory tactics, but each attack on her brought more and more workers in the city to her side. Eventually the politicians could not ignore what was becoming a War in the streets and started open negotiations with Dheraene. She was offered many things to try and placate her: personal riches, compromises and flimsy protection laws, but Dheraene never stopped her campaign. Everything changed when Dheraene obtained the support of an Order of Paladins.
The Order of the Muse is an old Paladin Order established out of Casteaux, and strongly encourages artistic expression among its members in conjunction with their Martial training, leading to a reputation as Warrior-Poets. The Order was founded on the belief that Beauty and Truth in the world must be protected, and frequently travelled the Nations to defend those who would speak the truth in the face of lies, and attempt to ensure that trials and judgements are fair and representative. Dheraene had met with several high ranking Marshals in the Order and convinced them of the need for what she was campaigning for. Paladins of various ranks joined the workers following Dheraene and the attacks on them were brought to a quick, decisive end.
Within a year, the Royal Family granted Dheraene Avan a decree to form the Guild of Ribbonmakers, who would oversee the ownership and operation of every house of pleasure in the country, starting with the Capital of Bordenn. After several years of successful operation and a continued partnership with the Order of the Muse, the Guild went international. Starting in Casteaux and Zantensa, Guild Houses started taking the place of existing establishments and gradually the Guild of Ribbonmakers became a reliable and trusted organisation in most of the Nations. The Order of the Muse allowed many of their members to form The Order of the Ribbon, who would continue to provide their services of Protection in every Guild House in every city.
