Elf

An ancient race whose culture once dominated the world, with remnants and ruins everywhere. They are believed to have had a high level of technology, which they weaved with magic. Some of the more educated or upper class of the nations speak "Elven" as a sign of their education and elitism (similar to Latin). Little is actually known or understood about their civilisation, as the few ruins that are easily accessible are empty and barren, whereas the more untouched ruins, such as the two Great Ruins that are located either side of the Zantensan desert, are lethally dangerous and barely explored as a result. The two Great Ruins are possibly the most prominent and unusual features of the Nations, dwarfing the mountain ranges they are located in and visible from most of the continent.
