The SoulTree

The BioVerse is filled with all forms of Life, but where exactly that Life comes from is a rather simple question. The real question is where this origin point is. The SoulTree is the elemental Source of all Life magic, described in ancient text as a gigantic, radiant beacon of wood and leaf, branching out in all directions. Out from the SoulTree's trunk there is a glowing spring of elementally-charged water called the Wellspring, which is said to flow endlessly to all corners of the BioVerse. The SoulTree's roots are also said to be all-encompassing and to follow the flow of the Wellspring, and that if one ever comes upon a stream of radiant water to not disturb or cross it, for that would signify a great change in one's life. Some say that the SoulTree's magic flows through its roots into the ground, consecrating it with Life, while the Wellspring brought life-giving, nourishing water to the Life so that it may prosper. This same Life that surrounds the BioVerse in its nature is drawn in by Majikai in their natural attuning process. There is believed to be a much faster way to attune oneself to Life, however it is far more dangerous. It is thought to involve eating the fruit of the SoulTree and srinking the water of the Wellspring. Since nobody has even seen the SoulTree's boughs in over five thousand years, however, there is no living evidence of this.

History

While the SoulTree itself has not been seen since the Great Separation, there have been sightings of streams of the Wellspring, and even instances of settlements along them and travelers going up them in search of the SoulTree. However, each settlement that happened upon them and each traveler that walked along their banks were never seen again.
