The Multiverse

The Multiverse is the setting for an RPG Maker project that I'm working on. It crosses over various fandoms, as well as extensive original elements. Information from the original canons will be indicated like this.   Welcome to the Multiverse! Millennia ago, the ability to travel between worlds was discovered. Today, world gates are scattered across the lands, allowing people to travel from world to world. Are these world gates a kind of magic? An ancient technology? Or do they perhaps take their power from some cosmic source? After a multiverse-wide apocalyptic event devastated civilization, the answer has been lost to the ages....
