The Metaverse consists of 4 Empires.   The Light of Loporia   The Darkness of Dark Equestria   The Drift of Claw : Mechos   The Magic of Akashmiran   The Metaverse is beyond the Universe, so you must break through the Fabric of Reality to get there.   One way is through a Black Hole, if you are strong enough to bust through the Singularity and emerge from the White Hole on the other side!
