Rumplewhite's fairy is noted for it's whimsical nature, preference for perennial blooming ground cover, and their ability to mimic components of most common forms of speech. Children will chase and collect these common creatures, marveling at their tiny features, and some are even able to keep them as short-lived pets.   These fairies have small transparent wings and are agile.

Genetics and Reproduction

Female Rumple-whites typically nests on a branch of an evergreen tree such as lodgepole pine, fir, or western red cedar where the nest can be sheltered from precipitation and cold by an overhanging branch. She frequently builds the nest where an old pine cone grew on the branch, making the nest look like a cone. Nest height ranges from 6–40 feet above the ground.

Ecology and Habitats

This tiny fae breeds in cool mountain environments, meadows, willow and alder thickets near streams and forests regenerating after a fire or logging. They typically breed at elevations between 4,000 and 11,000 feet, but may breed down to 600 feet along riverbanks

Dietary Needs and Habits

Rumble-white's consist themselves on a diet of nectar taken from cup-shaped flowers or isolated tubular flowers not frequently sought by breeds of fairy. An omnivorous species they additionally forage for small flying insects by “hawking”—perching on a branch and flying out to catch an insect in midair. Rumple-whites also feed regularly at sap-wells created by Woodbeams, taking both sap and insects stuck in the sap.

Domestication

True domestication of a Rumple-white begins in its youngling stage the creature of acclimatized to contact with people, feed and generally made accustom to people. Semi-domestication though occurs if the Rumple-white is an adult when it makes contact with people in such case it is best to ignore the creature save for its feeding so that the fairy begins to see its perspective master as a non-threat ignoring the person as it continues its normal behavior around the vicinity of civilized peoples

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Often kept as short-lived pets and entertainment do its ability to mimic speech. Semi-domesticated members of the species are also kept in the gardens of alchemists, horticulturalists, flower keepers and the like where they are kept and bred to tend their plantlife, keeping away harmful insect pests.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Rumple-white's perception of the realms of mortals can be describe as on par with that of a child. Keen of eye and with an acceptable degree of smell, the Rumple-white though appears to have generally poor hearing compared to other breeds of fairy such as that of the Gavel-wasp.
