Fibremuscle
Fibremuscle is a rare and valuable material. It is a curious mixture of metallic outer layer and unidentified organic material inside.
It has ability to contract when under an influence of arcane energy.
The outer layer can be removed and used to transmit arcane energy, this property was successfully duplicated in few ways, eg. portalstone, processed madpeak crystal.
The only known source is scavenging of ancient constructs. For last several centuries artificiers, mages and alchemists are trying to replicate or even emulate the function of Fibremuscle, with no avail.
It is one of primary material these constructs are made from, next to armour plating, skeleton, power source and soul jar.
The amount of Fibremuscle that can be recovered from a single construct varies of the size, small construct like Fang wield up to 50 pounds for a proficient scavenger, the largest one can go in thousands.
Its value lies in applications, it is used in artificing, especially vehicles, constructs, golems and most arcane artefact with moving parts, there are a crucial part of Garring Engine.
The famous Crawler armoured vehicle uses a large quantities of both fibremuscle and reclaimed armour plates.
