Summary

UNDER REVISION   Before Al-Masiy perverted the teachings of the Insights as aspects of his own divine being, the wisdom of this ancient religion was passed from from the angels to their student who would become a god, Guru Vysha.   At its core, the faith is rooted in the pursuit of enlightenment and the achievement of oneness with the burning cosmic wheel. Only through hard work can one achieve divine perfection of the scimitar forms, the Andoran dancing forms, and the art of negotiation and concession. The pursuit of perfection is synonymous to the pursuit of enlightenment. Other tenets include respecting women and the elderly, strict punishment for disobedient children, the observing of very sacred holidays reserved for the deaths of ancient gurus, as well as fasting and cleansing the emotional aspect of the body through physical release and personal combat. A person’s spirit can become inundated with negative emotion and indecisiveness. A holy man does not hesitate, balk, or reconsider, however there is divinity in admitting one’s mistakes, though this must be done wholeheartedly.

Death

Death is a sacred crossroads to the Masiy that follow the 72 Insights. The deceased’s energy returns to Shatiq who works closely with the other stars who provide testimony on behalf of the departed, recalling every action they’ve made. Grijna determines if their death was glorious or unjustly cut short, an important detail. Hotep recalls their acts of kindness or selfishness, and Sekha bids the other stars consider what the deceased have done and what they have left to do for their family. With this in mind, Shatiq works tirelessly to determine whether the spirit is fit to join the rest of them in the celestial heavens, or if it should be sent back to pursue true enlightenment. Patiq then has a final say, and using Shatiq’s webs, knits the spirit a new body that will be inhabited by the old spirit.

Secondary Pantheon

Many insights exist beyond the primary 7, however to master the self, each virtue must be mastered. Not every virtue is worthy of adopting, and some are even considered negative such as material greed or deception. A true adherent to the insights understands these are a part of every person, and must be understood if they are to be overcome.

Teachings

Personal responsibility and the fitting of an individual as a whole is an important teaching. Understanding that one man is but a piece of the gestalt cycle that circles the cosmic wheel is one that promotes acceptance of one's emptiness and divinity in equal measure. This extends to one's part in a family, in a community, Andora, and the cosmic cycle.   Unless one has achieved understanding of these basic 7 Insights, they cannot be permitted to pass on wisdom to others.

Perversion

Al-Masiy has adopted himself as the inheritor of Guru Vysha's grace, his hidden apprentice, and the one who will deliver Andora to greatness and conquest over not just the entire world, but the other realms.   He has adopted one of Vysha's aspects, the all-seeing eye, and used it as his personal symbol from which he can survey his grand kingdom.   Similarly to his unilateral rule of tyranny and fear, the chief symbol above all others used to denote the myriad aspects of Vysha's godhood has become the All-Seeing Eye, now called the Eye of Al-Masiy.
