Rose Garner

Daughter of mad scientist and supervillain Casey Garner, now known as Recluse, Rose was an experiment from youth by her father, who wanted to infuse spider DNA with that of a human, and then sell her for the sake of more research. That much was successful, but when it was time to auction her, she escape. Now known as the spider-themed heroine Weaver, the young hero joins the battle alongside the Future Fighters.

Physical Description

Special abilities

Weaver has the physiology of a spider. She has the proportional strength of an arachnid, along with the agility and reflexes. It's also given her a number of other useful abilities, the most prominent being her organic webs.   Spider Physiology: Weaver's body is perfectly in-tune with that of a spider, and all of her powers stem from the experimental hybrid spider she had her DNA infused with.
  • Superhuman Strength: Weaver has a lifting weight of 20 tons.
  • Superhuman Agility: Weaver's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to far beyond that of peak human level.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Weaver is very quick to react, enough to dodge incoming bullets.
  • Superhuman Senses: By feeling the vibrations on the ground, Weaver often knows her opponent's next move before they do.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Weaver can exert herself far more than any human. She's able to hold her breath for up to eight minutes, and can fight for hours on end before feeling any tiredness.
  • Superhuman Equilibrium: Weaver can achieve a perfect state of equilibrium in any possible position, having no problems balancing herself on an object regardless of how small or narrow it is.
  • Bio-Electricity Generation: Weaver can generate bio-electricity from her body, which she can use to enhance her attacks with electrical discharge, gain a temporary form of flight, increase the speed of her movements, or extend through her organic webs to turn them into electric cables.
  • Organic Webbing: Weaver can create organic webs from each of her ten fingers, and she can control how strong they are. Both a means of traversal, a tool, and weapon in combat, the organic webs are her signature.
  • Accelerated Healing: Weaver's body heals through the venom in her blood, and she can recover from minor wounds within minutes, and major ones within hours.
  • Wall-Crawling: Weaver can stick to walls through special hairs on her skin, able to crawl or even run up surfaces, while using them as a platform.
  • Were-Spider State: A monsterous state that she triggers when in great trauma. It's fifteen feet, has roughly four times her power, and will try to kill anything in sight. Weaver never wants to use this state out of fear that she could kill, and that she could never turn back.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Rose Garner was born in Scottsdale, Arizona. At first she had a good childhood, especially from being raised by her mother, Karen. But at the age of nine, everything changed. Her father, Casey Garner, was a scientist who worked secretly with many supervillain organizations out there. He wanted to infuse the DNA of a spider with that of a human, as part of a test to build stronger weapons out of regular people. Casey, getting frustrated with the difficulty of procuring test subjects, decided to look to his readily available daughter. One night, Casey took Rose to her car and drove out to a secret lab the Arizona desert. That would be the last she'd ever see of home.   After many painful experiments, Casey finally succeeded in fusing Rose's DNA with a spider. She gained superpowers, and provided the perfect template for use in the future. But deciding that she was too young and immature, decided to wait until she was older to sell her off. Rose was kept inside a tailor-made prison, with special walls designed to withstand her super strength. The only luxury she got was unlimited access to a TV set, and that became her only view of the outside world.   Spending six years inside her own prison, watching TV nonstop, gave Rose the drive to escape and see the outside world. The thought of suicide donned on her, but she refrained from it out of a desire to rise above the evils of her father. At the age of 15, it was time to sell her. A bunch of armed guards came in were ready to escort her out, but the fear inside of her triggered the "Were-Spider" state, where she transformed into a giant spider and killed everyone in sight. She woke up near the small town of Cave Creek, and with her newly found freedom yet fear of everything around her, she became a vagabond in a journey that would take her further west.   For the next two years, she would live life on the run, breaking into homes and store for food and cltohes, and leaving a trail of webs in her wake. Rose became known as the "Spider Burglar" for that reason. She retained her love for TV, having been discovered several times because she got so invested in a show despite having enhanced senses. Rose didn't think she would have any other life but survive, until she happened by the Future Fighters base in California.   When attempting to steal from them, she ended up fighting off five members of the team, but was eventually detained. When questioned, she revealed the truth and tearfully begged them not to take her in. To her surprise, she was given an offer: Join the Future Fighters. She accepted.   Taking on the identity of Weaver and using her powers to fight evil, for the first time a long time she can finally say she's happy. Her inner desire is to find her mother after all these years, and has made that into her ultimate goal.
