Dante Watts

A youth from the Bronx, Dante Watts grew up in sheer admiration of superheroes and dreamed that he himself could be one. They served as a form of escapism when dealing with the bullying and troubles of life. One day, when he caught in the middle of an event that gave many individuals superpowers, Dante got the ability to absorb various other powers, on top of greatly enhanced strength, speed, agility, durability and reflexes. Now he emerges as the crimefighter Flux, ready take supervillains head-on, but he's still got a lot to learn.

Special abilities

Flux has a very versatile in that he's not limited to just one power, but can absorb other powers through physical contact with people or energy sources. He can only use power set at a time, but with it he has access to a wide variety of potential powers in the world.
Power Absorption: His chief superpower. He can absorb powers through physical contact with another person or a source of energy. This makes him a very versatile superhuman and a force to be reckoned with. There are limitations, specifically it must be a generative process in nature, he can only use a single set at a time, and it doesn't work on magic. He's absorbed electricity, smoke, audio, light, fire, poison, kinetics and wind, among others.
Stemming from this ability, he's gained enhanced attributes as well.
Superhuman Strength: Flux can lift several times that of peak human.
Superhuman Reflexes: Flux can quickly react to whatever is coming to him.
Superhuman Speed: While not on speedster level, Flux can run faster than the eye can track, appearing as a blur and able to catch up to fast moving vehicles. However, he mainly sticks to traversal abilities besides running.
Superhuman Agility: Flux can perform feat of acrobatics better than the finest human athlete.

Personal history

Dante Watts was born in the Bronx to a middle-class family, but only just. As an avid admirer of all things super, he followed all the various happenings in the superhero world as much as he could, and one of his greatest memories was when he got to go to an autograph signing in Manhattan. Never did he imagine that he himself would become a superhero, but that unexpectedly became a reality.
Caught in a local incident that caused a number of people in his vicinity to get superpowers, they became known as Elites, and several superpowered street gangs were formed out of it. Dante gained a unique power of being able to absorb the powers and sources of other people and objects, which not only gave him the element to control, but also enhanced his strength, speed, agility and reflexes to superhuman levels.
Getting his license and donning a costume, Dante takes to the streets as Flux. His goal is to both combat the superpowered gangs that occupy Bronx and get to the bottom of the ones responsible for the incident. That, and he hopes to get his invitation into the Atlas Group when all is said and done.
