Sabakan Mercenary

The desert sands of Sabaku were a harsh place, with a bloody history. Being skilled with a blade was one of the most important things you could be before the Republic formed. It was even by a blade's edge that the Republic was able to be pulled together, the strength and will of a band of warriors which inspired all those around them to agree to peace and prosperity for all, instead of immense wealth for a single tribe. This history of skilled swordsmen and inspired fighters has continued to be a part of Sabaku's culture, as those who call themselves mercenaries and are officially recognized as such by the Mercenary Union of Sabaku are known to carry great skill. Sabakan Mercenaries also dress with great flair, bright colours and extravagant outfits are trademarks of these people. It is how they market themselves to prospective clients, or show their rank off in the arena. Many Mercenaries take part int he Sabakan Arena to show off their skills in hopes of earning greater reputation and higher profile jobs. Also to note, in the event of Sabaku going to war, those in the mercenary guilds are honour bound to take part in defense of their homeland.

Mercenary work is centered around taking on jobs and growing one's influence. When hard work and dedication you earn greater renown. The Mercenary Guild also keeps record and a points system to rank the top mercenaries in the land.

Payment & Reimbursement

Mercenary work is paid per job, so the greater the job, the bigger the reward. As you start off you don't make much but in time you begin to make a lot of money as you are trusted with tougher jobs.
