Druid of the Autumnal Circle
Haerfestland, the Autumnlands, is a place where humanity and nature live as one. The magical forest which makes up this nation is overseen by no true government or ruler. Rather, each region of the Autumnlands is overseen by an Archdruid and their cohort of druidic students. Druids in Haerfestland spend their lives in service to the forest, communing with nature and power its powers. In return, they speak for the forest itself, leading its peoples to coexistence with the natural rules of the forest.
Career
Qualifications
For many beings, living beneath the blessed boughs of the Autumnwoods often grants an aptitude for natural magics. Those children who shine brightest in magical aptitude are taken by the druids, home to their cohorts where the secrets of this way of life is passed on. After many years once their training is complete, they may return to their families or begin service to the forest. Whether or not they take the position, a new protector of the forest has been born. Those who leave deny themselves entry to the Autumnal Circle usual have a position as Village Elder awaiting them on their return.
Career Progression
A Druid could spend most of their lives in service to the same Archdruid. There is no real progression for a druid unless the archdruid of their region sees something special in them. Each Archdruid selects their successor personally from their cohort which they are in charge of and begins their intensified training. When they pass, the successor moves into the position of Archdruid.
Payment & Reimbursement
In Haerfestland, coin carries very little power, but the land does care for the druids in strange ways. Additionally, their needs are waited on by the Keepers of the Wood.
