Arbiters of Sabaku

Sabaku has little tolerance for extensive investigation and long term jailing, trying to avoid it as much as possible. In the dessert, resources are scarce and keeping prisoners and feeding them for free as punishment doesn't make sense. The justice system in Sabaku is unique in they deal with crimes as soon as possible. Arbiters, spell casters who are able to create a Zone of Truth are stationed in major cities and perform the trials on the spot when crimes occur. Their judgments are swift, yet thorough, using mind magics to divine the truth out of the parties involved.

An aptitude for spell casting, specifically the ability to use Zone of Truth.

Career Progression

There is not much room for moving up as an arbiter. You act for jsutice and as you gain greater experience you're trusted with areas of greater difficulty.

Payment & Reimbursement

The arbiters are paid 3gp a day, enough for a good lifestyle without being overly wealthy.
