The Godslayer

It was a clear day in the woodlands near Genham town, Neragard. Pan was running desperately from something in these woods. Pan is a Godling, a Greater One by that, his hindquarters and horns are that of a goat and he stands around twice the height of a full grown man. Not long ago Pan was worshipped as a deity by the people of the Genham outskirts, that was until he came.   A bolt stabbed Pan in the leg making him fall over near a large tree, he bleated in pain whilst desperately trying to crawl away. A tall man, as tall as those white bears found in the mountains of Nidavellir, wielding a crossbow, dressed in dark full body armour and a black fur coat that covered nearly his entire body came out of the shadows, the armoured man dropped his crossbow and proceeded to draw a greatsword from his back. The sword was a large thick double-edged two handed sword, with the blade itself, twice the length of a common arming sword and its width was approximately a human hand. Inscribed on the sword, were three runes, two on the blade and one in the middle of the cross-guard. The tall man walked closer towards Pan with his weapon in hand “n-nay! I beg of thee! What has’t I done to receive such punishment” bleated Pan with terror trembling in his voice “you caused some trouble so the Duke of Genham issued a bounty on your head. In other words…you were unlucky and now your time in this world is up. Farewell” with one very quick clean sweep the man slashed at Pan in the belly, as he tried to crawl to get away, and then stabbed him through the heart.
