Atticus

the Life Breather

The ruler of all creatures that live and breath. Atticus represent the health and well-being of creatures. Some of his domain overlaps with that of Livia considering that he embodies the spirit of life which is imbued into nature, Atticus is more about vitality and ensuring everyone is safe and will live and long time while Livia is about the protection of the natural world. Disciples of Atticus are often skilled healers, with his churches often having sickbays and medical wards to heal the sickly and wounded for a modest fee.   Atticus holds the forces of life in his hands at all times. He bears the souls of all people, creatures and plants. With such a demanding job, he is often depicted as being very solemn and silent god. He is very internal and filled with wisdom of which he holds to himself. Unlike Nero, who is another serious and contemplative god, he is more approachable and has a calm nature to him. It's said that his voice can sooth any worry and his warm touch can heal any wound, with his whole being to restore life: he must be a very healing presence.   Like life, Atticus's depiction is often as an intangible humanoid form. One that's body is coverred in wrappings that when loosened show no form. His head has a hole when his brain would be depicting a small glowing ball, like the sun. Often Atticus wields a wooden staff and his Dawn Lantern, said to carry the flame of all souls.

Divine Domains

Being the god of life, the life domain is the most fitting. Given how most of his churches also deal with healing the wounded and curing the sick, any cleric raised or trained by a temple of Atticus would have some skill in healing - even if they are not fully dedicated to the life domain. The light domain is another common cleric domain for Life Breather, his common symbol of the Dawn Lantern and his close association with the sun makes sense for any cleric of the light domain to worship him. While mainly associated Nero, undead are still an abomination to the natural living that Atticus presides over - as such the grave domain is a good pick for clerics of Atticus wishing to rid the world of undead and preserve a true form of life.

Artifacts

Dawn Lantern. In myth, this lantern carries the souls of every living being. It's light can break even absolute darkness for that is the power of a living soul. Some suggest that the Dawn Lantern is actually the sun itself, a powerful light that grants life, which is why lots of followers of Atticus associate him with the sun. While lots of spells cast by clerics have a bright glow to them, those devout to Life Breather are said to produce the brightest, holiest flames - which comes from the power of the light of living soul bleeding into their magic.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The Dawn Lantern is the most common holy symbol of Atticus. Being a powerful artifact in the possession of the god, it is an item commonly associated with the god. Even a flame or the sun are other symbols commonly carried by the disciples of Atticus. For servants of the Life Breatehr, a lit flame such as a candle or latern, represent that Atticus is watching over the room and everyone shall be protected and healed by his light.   Atticus carries the 'Soul Sigil' represented as a full circle '⚫' it is the counterpart of the 'Death Sigil' carried by Nero. The Soul Sigil is commonly used in Evocation spells, especially those that bring forth light and heal others like, Light; Cure Wounds; Daylight.

Tenets of Faith

The commandments of Atticus are about the healing of others. To cure and relieve others of pain and suffering, by protecting them from attacks and to treat wounds. Another main principle is about treat others with compassion, generosity and mercy: forgiving those who have wrong you, though expelling those who are beyond salvation with the great light of dawn.
Founder Gods.  The five young gods that descended upon the realm originally and brokered the peace between themselves and the Primordials that formed the realm. They are great beings that have witnessed the entirety of civilisation be born and almost wiped out completely.
