Black Harbor

Black Harbor was the last of “the big eight” cities in the known world, and it is also the biggest city in size in the group of 8. It was founded and built by a group of mixed traveling adventurers calling themselves “The Mountain Lions”. In the YR 47, not wanting to adventure anymore and upon finding a protective cove, the group decided to stay at this water side cove building a haven for travelers in the waters between the inner and outer seas. In the beginning, all there was one dock, an Inn and the homes of the Mountain Lions adventurers. Sirell and Divson wed and then soon became the rulers of this city in continual development and growth in the black mountain’s clutches. The family of Bach’s offspring has ruled the city since. The other five adventurers become the council to help advise in tough matters and times and likewise their family’s offspring always sits on the council in their family seat. The group always worked well with one another while on the road and even better in the city they created. The city thrived and grew till it filled the area from the docks to the mountain foot. The cities citizens are from all over the Known World and come from all walks of life. Mostly in the beginning it was sailors who just wanted to sail no more and decided this city was a good place to settle down. Once word got out of this cove, people started using it as a port town to transfer goods more easily from the inner and outer ways. Warehouses were built next and soon the ship captains built homes. These same captains’ families are some of the wealthiest in the city. The town itself is known throughout the as the safe haven on the waters. Most of the town’s food comes from the town’s fishing fleet that fish on the open waters and from the green district’s farmland and fruit fields. Besides being known for the harbor itself the city is known for its Butter Bread. Many bakers boast the best bread in town and fights began to break out by bakers and bakery’s themselves over it. The bread wars of 180 yr. got bloody from the swinging of knives and the poisoning of bread. Because of the bread war two things came about, first was a formal army that was formed to handle these types of matters in five years. To calm the breadies, as they are calling themselves, the bread championships started to happen every 6 years during the spring solstice.
In the year 320, the town is run by two brothers. Sedi and Lenbee and to help them decide big issues. they have a council of 6 by their side. The 6th is a city elected member.

The govorment is a mayor with a counsol who help make desions.

the black mines produces gems and silver that are in turn, made into jewelry. the harbor brings in imports from all over The Known World.
