Kingsgate
The border and only pass into the West Marches. It is currently at the center of a brutal struggle for control between the Faith and the King.
Government
Kingsgate is normally under the control of the King of Eredhen but was abandoned after the Butcher of Kingsgate.
Defences
The pass is only wide enough to fit 5 men abreast making it both very defensible but costly to do so.
Infrastructure
The pass is the only break in a long magical wall which cuts off the West Marches from the rest of the continent. This wall is impentetrable, even keeping flying creatures from passing over the wall. Any attempts to walk through the shimmering wall of force is...not suggested.
History
It is said that the Kingsgate was a construction of the Sorcerer King to seal back the monsters that surged out of the West Marches long ago.
Architecture
The gate is made of a series of noble looking statues of robed men who hold their hands up as if to warn creatures off from the wall. These statues are periodically placed along the wall facing both into and away from the west.
